Our Patio Project
For years we’ve waffled bath and forth over whether to continue to do small projects to our house here and there, since we’re always kind of “house hunting.” But this year we decided to fix up our garden by adding tiles to our patio (rather than having our table and chairs on grass) and redoing our lawn. My husband really wanted artificial turf but I just couldn’t do it! Especially with having our vegetable garden and fruit trees, I wanted to keep everything as natural as possible.
The inspiration for the patio came from my friend Ashley and from my stay at Hotel Saint Cecilia in Austin this past February. I wanted the patio to feel rustic but chic, old world European but clean.
I asked our gardener, David, who I love btw - who we should use for the project and he recommended Jason at Pacific Paradise Landscaping (they were incredible!). We sourced the stone through Adera and went with Broadstreet Pavers (acid washed / brushed) & Tumbled Dove White Pavers (sandblasted) in 24” x 24” pieces in a checkerboard pattern using Ashley’s inspo.
We are so happy with how it turned out and can’t wait to spend so much time out here this summer!
